Happy Philosopher’s Weekend Reading: Volume 8

Weekend Reading: Volume 8

Hello philosophers. Welcome to the most sporadic and inconsistent weekly round-up on the internet. Happy Philosopher’s Weekend Reading is a collection of great material I’ve stumbled upon and feel compelled to share with you.

Unfortunately I have had other obligations that required a great deal of time this week so I only have one thing to share this weekend: this podcast.

The good news is, it is awesome. It is a long (2 hour) interview with Naval Ravikant. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will notice I have referenced his work in the past here and here. Naval has the ability to discuss very deep and complex ideas in simple terms. I really love this interview, so go ahead and give it a listen. The philosophy is a little later in the interview, so give it some time to get going. You won’t be disappointed.

How is this Weekend Reading?

You got me there. I guess technically a podcast isn’t reading, which makes it a little weird to be featured in a ‘weekend reading’ post. Lucky for us there are transcripts available which seems more appropriate. If you want to read the transcripts instead of listening, farnamstreetblog was kind enough to make them available for free to us.

They don’t normally do this, but it was so great they felt compelled to share with as many people as possible.

Also check out @naval on Twitter if you are into that social media platform for one of the more thoughtful feeds. And while you are at it you might as well follow me on Twitter as well

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

🙂

Excellent suggestion. Tim Ferriss podcast 136 also features Naval Ravikant, and it is also outstanding.

  1. Humm. We’re definitely on the same wavelength here. One of the best listens this week. Really like the way Naval expresses ideas. Made me wish I had someone like that to talk with on a regular basis. Great dinner conversation I bet.
