My father purchased a 1989 Volvo 740 when my sister and I were about the same age as my 2 sons are now. I think he paid around $24,000. In 2020 dollars that’s nearly 45k. We just bought a 2020 Subaru Legacy which has so many more features for only 27k and change. It’s a lot of money to be sure, but when you consider everything you get I think we are getting a lot more car for the money.

Those things are sweet. This chick at the grocery store was totally chatting me up today. She even offered to take my cart back to the cart return after I finished unloading the groceries into my minivan. And no, she wasn’t an employee of the grocery store.
